Re: Why isn't this working?
That alternator top mounting looks somewhat different. I'll look at mine and take a pic to compare.

Re: Why isn't this working?
I think it was optical illusion. Looks pretty similar to mine which is stock 75 chevy 350.
Is your problem that the pulleys don't line up if you were to tweak it to fit?

Re: Why isn't this working?
Is that the stock alternator or high output? There are a bunch of different alternator frames out there. It looks like your alternator frame doesn't match your brackets. The alternator on the ground looks like the correct frame.

Re: Why isn't this working?
Your bracket's not made for your air gap intake. And you need a spacer to move it forward.

Re: Why isn't this working?
What you need to do is leave the mounting bolts loose on the the bracket then feed the alt. in and put the adj. screw in. I ran into this with my Perf. RPM.

Re: Why isn't this working?
So that's what the spacer is for! It came with the intake, but I didn't know what it was for. I did get it to work by loosening everything, putting the alt in place and then cranking all the bolts down. Some of the chrome flaked off and the alt doesn't slide smoothly. I'll play around with the spacer and see what I come with.
