RPO of LF8...Chevy

I bought a 74 3/4T 2wd with a 454. Trying to find out what kind of
horse power it has and round, oval or rec ports? Several sites
list the RPO I got off inside fender sticker (LF8) as a 6 cyl. Obviously these sites cant be trusted. Does anyone know any
more about this engine. Would it be whats called a RV cam eng?
I have all the other RPO codes for the truck. Dont want to tear it down. The suffix code starts with CE then not stamped deep enough to read. I know this means factory replacement engine.
Chevrolet Engine/Crate Engine then the rest is serialized. I believe they would have warranteed with same as RPO.
Tell me please, all you experts.
