We are having a Burnout Contest! I got ?'s!!!

So back in my hometown, they are having a small Show-n-Shine. This year they added a burnout contest out at the airport. Just got my 383 in and I gotta do it!!! My question is, can I adjust my rear drum brakes so they dont grab so well and just stand on the pedal and smoke the tires? Also, what is it the put down to really make alot of white smoke when they burnout? It seems I remember they have a liquid mixture of some kind? I know to some this is fun and to others its just stupid childish games, but I gotta show up my old classmates!!! Just gotta do it!!!

Back the rear adjusters off. Use 50/50 bleach and water. Wax your lower Quarters and leave it on. Make us proud.

No additives necessary for my neighbor's burnouts!

Right before you are ready, put a small c-clamp on the rear brake hose (the rubber one). Just remember to take it off when you are done. This will restrict the flow of brake fluid to the rear wheel cylinders.

Have fun, be safe and don't forget the video.

Re: We are having a Burnout Contest! I got ?'s!!!

I had a 77 T/A (black bandit) when I graduated high school & wanted to do smokey burnouts. So I found a windshield washer tank & pump unit which I mounted in the trunk & wired it into the marker lights. I drilled (2) small holes in the top of the wheel housings & ran the hoses & nozzles to each of them. Topped the tank with the 50/50 beach & water solution & had a great time on the last day of school! Looking forward to the video!

Make sure you have a good transmission cooler. Your tranny will get nice and warm doing burn outs.
