Re: bed parts

The rotten angle strips need to be ordered separately from mar-k. If they are rusty and full of holes and will not support the bed than new ones need to be welded in after you cut the spot welds that hold the old ones. Or I have seen people that can't weld blot them to the sides of the bed. Or if yours just look bad mar-k sells strips that you can use to cover the old ones up with. 4 of the cross sills attach to the frame and also to the strips with bolts that go in between the wood. A couple of the cross 2 of the cross sills only attach to the bed and there is one row of bolts that does not attach to the any sill. It just has large washers that hold them to the bottom of the wood (at least that is how it is on my step side). If you go to the mar-k web sight or order there catalog they have tuns of diagrams and how-to's. Also do a search on this sight. I know that angle strips have been discussed before

Re: bed parts

real pain in the rear to remove the angle strips. i used a sawsaw and made pretty quick work of them.....they have alot of spotwelds on them. i rebolted mine in since they were polished stainless steel

Re: bed parts

I was in the same boat. I made my own flanges, and put in used cross sills after cleaning/painting.
