cab floor

I was wondering if any one had built a cab floor instead of buying the replacement floor from somebody. I am not doing a restoration, more like a resto mod. I know the panel is around $300 - $500, depending on where you buy it at, but I am just trying to save some money. If any one has and has link to pictures, that would be great too. Might be a waste of time to o it this way but just thought I'd ask your guys opinion.

thanks

Re: cab floor

I have some of the patch panels, but unfortunately my whole floor needs to be replaced.

Re: cab floor

go to the junk yard and buy a couple of hoods or anything that is really flat and use the metal from that to patch in a floor.

but you'll need to know how to shape it, or cut and weld a lot!

Otherwise, go to home depot and buy sheet metal.

You will still need seat mounts that work. and you'll need to replace any rust under the cab

so if you have really bad rust, take the cab off and do it the right way
