Some nice trucks going across the block on Barrett Jackson Las Vegas

I got home from work and the Barrett Jackson Las Vegas auction is on tv and there are some nice Chevy trucks going across the block. It's on Fox Sports the Old Speed channel.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

I saw the copper one go across the stage and it went for 85K I think. It looked like Trucks were selling for pretty good money but some of the usual big money 60's 70's cars weren't selling for what they usually bring.

not to change the subject but did anyone see that 58 cameo that sold for around $150000 it had 11 miles on it. was in Colorado in a field with a few 100-200 more cars

That is well covered in another thread and all over the net. A serious case of big money guys going nuts there on a truck that most likely was an insurance write off after it was damaged during delivery. There are going to be a lot of buyers at that auction with severe buyers remorse in the next few months. Getting caught up in the hype of the auction being more powerful than the free booze for bidders at the Scottsdale Barrett Jackson auction.

Their tv coverage was somewhere between slim and none with Fox sports taking over and shutting down the Speed Channel. I did watch a lot of it online and managed to bid accurately enough on the fantasy bid to get 200 points and one right on the money bid on a Jeep.

yes the demise of the speed channel sucked velocity channel is cool but I miss gearz and a few other shows it was always guaranteed I could tune into channel 1625 and get me kick started before I headed outside for a little wrench turning
