Porterbuilt Stage 2 rear deluxe questions
I have the Porterbuilt Stage 2 Rear Deluxe version which Im about to install on my 69 GMC short bed stepside with leaf springs and I noticed my rear end don't have the U bolt nest assembly mounting brackets on each end of my axle tube. I was wonder if Porterbuilt or someone make the brackets to weld to my rear end to mount the U bolts that came the kit.
Also once I install the C notch will there be any clearance issues with the wooden bed. The C notch bolts seem to stick up a little higher then the rivets that are originally on the frame, or will the bed rest on top of the C notch bolts I attached a pic of the bracket on a rear from the Porterbuilt site showing the bracket Im missing on my rear end tube. thanks in advance Calvin

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 2 rear deluxe questions
The axle pads are available from Porterbuilt for the trailing arms. Your bed will clear the notch, as there is a gap between the bed floor and frame which will allow for the notch and the bolt heads.

Absolutely! They are $50 & $15 to ship. Just give me a call tomorrow, or can do through PayPal as well.

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 2 rear deluxe questions
Thanks Travis
Will the have to be welded to the axle if so that's no problem and do you have a pic of them on your site

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 2 rear deluxe questions
Yes, they will need to be welded to the axle and the old leaf spring ones removed. I don't have a picture, but they basically looks like these below. THey will be similar to your leaf spring pads, but be at an angle and located differently for the trailing arms.

Re: Porterbuilt Stage 2 rear deluxe questions
Yeah Travis that's what I will need put me down for a pair I will get with you Monday and place the order. I'm just trying to address any issues that I can before I get started I kept looking at the bolts and was wondering if the bed would sit on the bolts after the C notch are installed.
