Cab Corners or rockers first

A friend offered to help me start repairing the rust on my truck.

My rockers are in really bad shape, but I also need to replace at least one of my cab corners. Since I will be doing this piece by piece (Meaning just on the weekends as we have time and with my learning curve) is it better to replace the cab corners first or the rockers? Or does it really matter as long as I do one at a time?

My understanding is that the corners are a bigger deal. You have to freaking remove the bed to do them. I'd do the rockers first, and then do the corners if you don't want to be down long.

We found it to work best by doing the cab corners first and then the rockers. The doors should be on also so the cab corners and rockers can be properly aligned.

You don't need to replace the entire cab corner, but only what you need. This leaves more room to go back another time if needed.

some times you can just make a small patch and weld it back in without using the aftermarket panel (and removing the bed)
it just depends how bad your cab corner is rusted

Whatever you do first, don't weld anything solid, untill the other has been fitted. That way you can make adjustments if need be.

dont forget to buy a set of rear pillars? Start on the rockers but the factory spot welds on underneath that connect it to the floor pan can be a pain to get all spot welds out hope that helps out

Leave as much of the original sheet metal as possible and always do the hardest part of the job first.
