1963 C10 production dates
I have a 63 c10. 283 is supposed to be original. Casting date is June of '63. I was wondering if anyone knows if '63s were still being built in June of '63, or would this be a '64 engine?

Thanks for the reply. I did see that thread. However, that shows total production. I'm wondering if my engine that was cast in June of 63 would have been included in 63 trucks.

Seems to me that the trucks were still in production during July...so I'd say so.

Maybe so. Do you know if there is a date on any other component on the truck? So I could see if the truck was assembled around that time? Thanks again for your help.

Ive found dates on the wiper motors, factory tachs, radios, the heater core if its a factory Harrison core will have a date code also.
