Re: a/c rebuild

What year is your truck? The A6 type compressor can be obtained from your local parts house for under $150. I just went through this a couple of weeks ago, but turns out my compressor was ok and I only needed to replace the clutch assembly. Mine is a 1980 K10.

Hope that helps.

My wife told me I spent too much time on Facebook. So I bought an old truck. Now she wishes I was on Facebook, it was cheaper.

Re: a/c rebuild

A full A6 rebuild does take some special tools, even just replacing the front seal needs a special puller. Here's a pretty good how to on the front seal. I've seen a few full rebuilds online too, but you may only need the front seal. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...placement.html
