Ahh thats better

So for years I been staring at a nasty cut dash in my truck and finally did something about it. What do you think? I wish I never would have let my friend cut the dash 10 years ago but when your 15 you don't know any better.

Re: Ahh thats better

How did you fasten it and match the paint? Normally there are clips that need the stock holes to hold it in.

Looks good!

Two sided tape is a good friend of mine. I got lucky when I found the plate that it came from a truck with the same color interior and wear.

I had the same problem but I never did like the cover plates for the radio or ash tray. So, I spent a day with an air saw, a welder and a grinder and you can't tell they were ever there.

Re: Ahh thats better

I noticed the other day that there is now a patch panel available just to repair a hacked dash.

Re: Ahh thats better

I have the same repair to fix, uncle took a sawzall to the dash...GRRRRRR

I plan on shaving it, then building a console that will hold an in dash GPS/XM double din right below the dash. That's all down the road though.
