WTB: correct 1970 only T400 kickdown switch

Hey Guys - I have bought my first 69-72 truck and it is a 1970 CST short bed w/ factory #'s and date code matching 402 BB. I have come to realize that due to the addition of spark control that was not present on 1968-69 396 equipped trucks, 1970 402's came with a slightly different T400 kickdown switch - one that apparently does not have the "tangs" as used in 68-69, but instead must have bullet shaped prongs of some kind on it, because my kickdown wiring (pictured below) has the plug made for a different type connector than used on 68-69 switches.

So, does anyone have one of the 1970 only type kickdown switches I can buy?

Thanks in advance - Steve

I may have a spare, do you need the bracket as well? Not sure if the switch I have is good any way to check?

No way to tell but installing it that I know of - I have a 69 switch and do not know if the bracket is the same or not, so I would probably want your switch w/ bracket in case something is different about it or unless you only have the spare switch itself....is your spare off a 1970 Chevy / GMC?

Wow Ken - Didn't take you long to find one after I told you they were different than 68-69 - you work faster than anyone I know

I need to get you to find my stuff and quit beating my head against a brick wall all the time....

you can't find factory power steering for a 60-62 torsion bar chevy / GMC can you? hahaha as lucky as you are you would probably find it in 3 days when I have been searching 3 years

Call me about the switch, I will be purchasing a lot of 70 parts in the the next 2-3 and that switch is in the lot. If my truck does not use this switch you might persuade me to sell it to you.

gmcnut, here is the guru of late model oem gm power steering systems. If he does not have it he can find it, although he is not cheap. Check him out his name is Jim home # 480-981-3096 or his cell is 602-751-0454. Hope this helps, and good luck on your search.
