Can't get my sun visors to stay up

Got new sun visors from lmc and no matter what I do they won't stay up against the roof. Anyone had this problem?

Isn't there a screw you can tighten to get it to clamp tighter?

If not, a bit of masking tape on the shaft perhaps so it doesn't turn as easily?

I have had one person tell me to put a slight bend in visor and that will keep it from falling down.

Re: Can't get my sun visors to stay up

Two problems I've had with sun visors that I've never been able to fix were loose ones and ones that are so stiff you have to use two hands to put them down.

I've never tried the putting a bend trick but once on a loose one, I spent almost 2 hrs trying to remove the rod. When I finally did I practically destroyed the visor. I tried to squeeze the metal together and it didn't help. Replaced it.

On the tight one, I poured every lubricant I had to no avail. Finally just replaced it also. Simple design but difficult to fix once they act up.
