Newport Hill Climb Pic

I found this truck sitting at the Newport Hill Climb in Newport, Indiana. It is a race up a steep hill by original antique vehicles.

I thought this truck was awesome. It is on an S10 Frame, 235 6-cylinder with a 5-speed Camaro tranny. He said he gets pretty good mileage and they really enjoy just driving it.

I just had to share the couple pics I had.

Re: Newport Hill Climb Pic

I saw this also. Pretty cool concept.

I started my 51 to be a rat rod-ish project, but I don't have the wherewithal to stop short of just doing it right the first time.

I think I am still going to use flat paint, but the body will be as straight as my skills can get it and I have already replaced all of the rusty panels. LOL

I like the tent, too.

Re: Newport Hill Climb Pic

I would have ran the rain fly over the bed rails, unless it has the original half rotted bed for drainage. Maybe they have cots instead of the wall to wall foam...
