Didn't think it mattered I thought p meant anything under 6000 lbs.i got a 67 truck c10 steppy.school me on it

post a wanted to buy ad on craigslist in the auto parts and barter sections

I really can't say much,since states vary. From what I know Bammy is pretty slack compared to here...at least with titles. Here,any truck is registered at 6000# and up and cars are under 6000#. The tags are different letters/numbers. Back when everyone renewed the same month,it was 3/31/XX for cars and 4/30/XX for trucks. When they first went to year 'round renewals truck plates said truck at the bottom and Vans/SUVs said MPV. I know a guy who deals in vintage tags and he knows it all! He's been doing it for 40 years. Back in June I was looking t his stuff and I did notice,was even 1/2 interested in,some Alabama plates. It might take a while,but I can see if I can find his info for you.

i know there was a " P " on the 70s pickup tags.... unsure about the 67 ones...
