Brake booster alignment question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I just installed the power brake adapter, booster and master cylinder to my 72' LWB truck. The brackets and booster went right in with no issues but when I mounted the master cylinder I spotted a problem. The nose of the master cylinder sits down instead of tipped back and upwards like every vehicle I have worked on. Any thoughts?

I hate to be the first responder but I don't think it will be an issue.

The master cylinder is a pressure vessel, so the orientation (within reason) does not affect function and only impacts underhood packaging and the ability to add fluid.

So - as long as you can hook the lines up, fill it with fluid and get the hood closed I think you're ok.

Agreed, I don't think its a show stopper. Everything else looks good but I am confused as to why it would point downwards. Maybe some one on here who has done the conversion will chime in.

Agreed. I haven't seen one on these trucks that is not tipped forward.
