On my 72 that I'm working on / selling I'm redoing the taillight wiring. I bought a kit that does all the rear tail lights and I bought from a guy on here the harness that runs from the rear of the truck to ??? . I don't have the old harness and I don't know where its supposed to plug in at .

My 67 has a 4 prong plug about a foot in from the rear of the truck. Your's should be similar. Then just run the brown and dark green wires up to where the bulbs plug (behind the red bulb cover/lens) and the other, shorter brown wire to the license plate light. The light green wires go to the back up lights (behind the clear lens), and attach the ground wire to the frame and you should be ready to roll.

The other end of the intermediate harness plugs into a "pigtail" harness under the hood roughly in the trans tunnel area. IIRC, it is about a foot long. There is a round connector on this harness coming out of the firewall that corresponds to the round connector on the intermediate harness. This "pigtail" then runs through a grommet in the firewall and to the fuse box.

So I was taking out the air conditioning system and my intermediate wiring was connected to the AC power. I stupidly cut the intermediate wiring near the firewall. I follow the wiring all the way to the rear bumper but can't see that's it lighting anything. Can I yank it out or do I need this?
