Motor mount help
I am getting ready to remove the 305 V6 out of my 61 suburban and put in a 327 out of a 62 car. Does anyone know if I will have to move motor mounts and if so are there bolt in ones available or do I need to fab some up? Thanks for any advice in advance!
Thanks Adam |

Re: Motor mount help
The stands may work measure the bell housing to the mount. If it is in a different position or even different mounts you can find used V8 stands around and they directly bolt in. It should be an easy install.

Re: Motor mount help
Here is a nice write up and pictures showing exactly what you need to do. I have this one saved because the prior owner on my 60 GMC did a crappy job trying to fab some V8 mounts and I'm going to cut them out and do it this way eventually.
