front spring help

got 69 gmc c10 put 6.2 diesel in it. front of truck sits to low now will big block springs pick it up atleast a inch or more ?

Yeah, Big block weight is close to that of a dressed 6.2 and if your springs that were there were the OE ones they are tired anyways. A fresh set of ones for a big block with air[ maybe even a C20 camper 402auto w/air] would bring the nose back up in the right direction for your truck, and also would help on the braking so that it doesn't dive real hard under a brake load. If you don't have a large sway bar [like one from a 3/4 or 1 ton from say a 81-87 chevy/gmc truck that would help a little as well not on raising the front but the handling. Sounds like a cool swap, I loved the 6.2 I had and a couple of 6.5 turbo as well. Jim

I got sway bar off 68 c10 but if it leans bad in turns ill go get bigger one.its just going to be shop truck for me to get parts in and stuff.i really done the swap for fuel milage I just hope it gets 25 to 30.

what about front springs out of 83 c10 with diesel? or should I look at 3/4 ton front springs fot my year models.
