250 with an inline fuil filter?

Just picked up this 69 c10 a month ago. Been playing around with it discovered an inline fuel filter. I don't remember there being inline fuel filters on these, just the carb filter.

It has a new tank and pump which makes me think that someone was trying to run this first with a rusty tank.

Is there supposed to be an inline on these?

No inline filter from factory, only in the carb. Nothing wrong with using one though, just keep the rubber hose length to a minimum to avoid potential leaks/ fire.

Howdy neighbor! Thanks that is what I thought. I am trying to run down a miss yet thinking I am just not getting an adequate flow of fuel. I will test that theory but just dawned on me that the owner before me must have had fuel issues. Otherwise why when he was sloppy with everything else did he go overboard with the fuel line? Thanks again.
