WTB: 1970 date coded 402 BB Intake
Hey guys - My 70 CST 402 truck had an aluminum intake put on it at some point, and another previous owner switched it out to a semi-correct 71 or 72 402 intake, but the choke boss is in a different orientation on a 70 intake, plus this is the only not date code correct part on my truck now, so I want to swap it to someone who has a late 69 or 1970 dated intake and needs mine, or buy one outright - does anyone happen to have a verifiable correct 1970 402 BB intake to sell?

Re: WTB: 1970 date coded 402 BB Intake
Ole' Blue & 19Step - after talking to JQ-72 on this forum about this, his suggestion to me was to ask for a Mar/April/May date coded 1970 intake, to be consistent with my trucks' May build month and match the trucks' other March & April date codes - so if either of you discover a 70 intake with these months on it, please let me know - Thank you so much!

Re: WTB: 1970 date coded 402 BB Intake
I have a complete 70 402 truck engine. The intake casting number looks like: #3956287. It is hard to read, so the "6" may be a "5". Anyway, I am sure it is a correct '70. The build date is "J 23".

Just in case anyone out there thinks I am insane for being so granular on the date code, I want to just say I normally never care too much about date codes as long as my trucks are "correct" parts-wise, but this particular truck is so untouched minus someones understandable decision many years back to slap on an Aluminum intake and headers, that now that I have corrected the headers issue by replacing them with the correct 402 exhaust manifolds, I only need to get this one last thing right then the truck will be so much more valuable and a correct historical example as well, so hopefully someone out there has one closer to my build month, so until then I will keep looking....thank you!
