My name is mike. Im a new member fo this forum thing. I have a 1969 short bed step side 4×4. I've dun a lot of modifications to it. I had it up qnd running once but the engine block froze and busted. Since then I've totally disassembled truck. Boxed frame installed all new brake parts, suspension parts. Im trying to reassemble everything but having some problems remembering how things go back together. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. If I can figure out how to post pics I will.

Welcome. My wife is from Indiana. Go Colts! (Well, except for last night's disappointing loss)

You'll need to be more specific with what problems you're having, and we can chime in

Re: new member

Well my 1st issue has been reinstalling the steering column. I have installed everything that I can find that I removed prior. Connected to the ps box. Screwed to firewall and mounted to dash. But yet still have excessive movement in the whole column. I think i misplaced a saddle or some kinda brace for this. Pictures of other column assemblies may help . I would post a pic or video of what it is doing but im not sure how to go about doing that on here.

There are 2 plates under the dash, one us kinda heavy U shaped and has 2 bolts one on each end, that one should hold the column tight against the bottom of the dash.
