Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
Hi everyone,
I've been browsing this forum for a few months now and finally decided to become a member. My name is Chris and my project is a 64 shortbox chevy C10. I am swapping the inline 6 for a 402 big block I acquired in a trade. I plan to keep the manual 4 speed that is in the truck. Just wanted to introduce myself and say the forum is awesome. Seems to be full of people that are very knowledgeable of this vintage of trucks. I'll need a lot of advice as my build moves forward. Chris |

Welcome and I agree with Markeb01, pictures are always required so we can drool over your ride and or give unsolicited advise. Good luck!

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
I started another thread asking some questions about putting my 402 in this truck. If any of you could help me with that, I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
Lol, it's not staying like this. Just bought it this way, the last owners started stripping off the paint and doing some body work and gave up I guess. My plans are to paint it a Chrysler cranberry metallic (best way to describe it I guess... reddish maroon with lot of metallic. Interior will be sandstone and nickel color. Drop it 4" in rear, 2" in front with 18" 6 spoke chrome wheels. 402 big block with the original 4 speed manual.

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
Welcome. Always glad to meet a new member. Looks like a nice project to work with, and can't go wrong with a big block. Fixing to plant one in my 63 myself. Keep the pics rolling

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
Thanks guys.... it's ugly now but plan to make it look nice over the winter. I will try to take alot of pics. Last night I redid the heater box... replaced the locked up blower motor, new fan etc. Removed a larger mouse nest and half a garbage can full of leaves, rust etc. also LOL. Repainted and installed it last night. Tonight maybe I'll install the new heater controls. I'll start a build thread.

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
Welcome, and awesome truck. It looks pretty solid. Be grateful of that, lol! I will definitely follow the build thread, are your plans to keep the stance like it is or get it low?

Re: Hello. New to forum and introducing myself.
I plan on lowering it 3 or 4" in the rear and an inch or 2 in the front (adding the big block already dropped it a bit over the inline six that was in it. I took some pics of what I did last night and will start a build thread. New at this but should be fun.
