Question Replacement headliners from LMC - sun visors?

Anyone install one of these replacement headliners?

If so, did you put your sun visors back in? Any tricks to cutting the holes for the pivots? I don't want to mess this up...

I have not used one of these headliners, but if your truck came equipped with a headliner from the factory, then I would have your headliner recovered. If you need the trim pieces for the factory headliner they are available used (I think I have seen sets still intact in the junkyards around here.) I got my headliner recovered in factory appearing material for about $45 - it had the factory fiberglass pad and came out very nice.

What year is your truck? I think all of the trim pieces make a nicer look, with a factory style headliner, but that is just me.

Re: Replacement headliners from LMC - sun visors?

I did one of those headliners this summer in cloth. There are outlines in the plastic backing piece for the sun visor triangle shaped holes and one for the dome light but they have fabric over them incase you don't have visors or a light. I did the dome light first and just cut the fabric in the center in a X shape where the points of the X go out to the corners, that is where I made my first mistake, the hole that comes in the plastic is larger than the dome light, so don't cut all the way to the corners, measure first and cut small, same for the visor holes cut as little as possible just enough to get the spring loaded thing through.

I was able to patch my mistake with extra headliner material they wrapped the headliner in, it is noticeable but not bad.

It seems like a good quality piece however not sure how it will hold up. I have only got the top metal trim above the window in and the pillar pieces, haven't done above the door or back window yet.
