High hump trans tunnel measurements for Getrag 5spd

Does anyone have a high hump tunnel laying around that they could snag some measurements off of? I have a large gaping hole in my floor that I was thinking about trying to modify a stock high hump tunnel. Not sure if it is at all close or not.

The picture is my 70 CST with a getrag 360 5spd transmission hooked to a cummins 6BT

Re: High hump trans tunnel measurements for Getrag 5spd

I'd love to help but I'm iced in right now. can't even get out of my driveway. it is on a slope as is my street and car have been piling at the bottom all afternoon. The light Co came by and at least got us some power, there is a tree poking threw the roof but it is all iced over as well so not much to do till the thaw. It looks like you a little high like said above fore even a high hump. If you don't get help soon enough I can measure between storms late Tue or Wed. Jim

Thanks a lot for the measurement, whenever it warms up I will have to snap some measurements.

I may be able to use the tunnel with some modification to bring the height up.

I fabricated the crossmember. The transmission pretty much has to stay there due to driveshaft angles and engine placement.

I swapped out the low-hump pan in my '68 for a high-hump pan and covered the install in Custom Classic Trucks Magazine. Hope this will help you out!
