Question Stainless Door Vent Visor Removal

Can someone tell me how to remove the stainless vent visors on the doors without breaking the clips? I did a search and can't find anything. Got a parts truck with them on it and want to take them off and put them on my truck. Thanks for any help.

Bryan

Re: Stainless Door Vent Visor Removal

They pop off fairly easy. Just have to work them back and forth a bit. I have never broken a clip removing them.

Re: Stainless Door Vent Visor Removal

Do I just roll the window down and pull down on the visors evenly and they pop out of the window channel or ? I just don't want to destroy them.

Re: Stainless Door Vent Visor Removal

You'll never break one of these clips, I think they are made of titanium or something! (probably stainless or ? but very tough)

You should be able to just pull the shade right down and out. Pull from the back curved area first as the front has a lip that goes into the upright channel. I do it all the time in the junkyards with no problems. Then just pull the weatherstrip out and use a small screwdriver to get the clips out.
