Front huck brake drums bearing removal
Hello all, can someone tell me how to remove the front bearings from my 49 huck front brake drums? The shop wont turn them until I remove the bearing.
Thanks

Re: Front huck brake drums bearing removal
Knock them out with a hammer and punch. There should be a couple cutouts in the seats so you can hit the backside of them. Don't reuse them they are cheap to replace and use a brass punch to reinstall.

Re: Front huck brake drums bearing removal
Any parts store should have them. Inspect your bearings and races for any scratches or pitting if the rollers look clean and the races are smooth you can sometimes get away with reusing but they are not expensive I usually replace them if I have to remove the races from the drum. I just looked again you have a 49 which should have ball bearings instead of rollers so I would just replace them with new.
