lowering question

So we are looking to lower our 72 C10 with trailing arm suspension for my son and looking to do it on a budget. Going to run 235/60/15 all around on 8 in ralley wheels. Can I just do a coil spring drop to get it down just above the tires on the wheel well? like a 4/2 drop or 5/3 ? I want to keep the ride for him. Will I need to change out the shocks too? I see Brothers is having a sale this week so I want to get on it before its over on the 31st.

Any pictures of your trucks with that drop would be great

Thanks
