what items did you find in your truck?

haven't seen a thread like this yet...
what did yall find in your trucks when cleaning them out?
ive heard of everything from switchblades to a match book
I personally found a corroded .22 bullet, and a rock about the size of a softball, the rock actually looked pretty cool, like something you'd collect, both were stashed away in the driver side cab corner. I found both of these after the gas tank ad carpet was out. im just wondering if anyone else has found any treasures in there trucks

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

Mine had jumper cables, a .22 caliber round, old cigarette butts, and some of those old school beer can pull tops. It also had a nearly perfect build sheet behind the cardboard gas tank cover

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

I just cleaned mine out the other day. Aside from a whole bunch of pull-tabs I found 3 sets of finned Aluminum SBC valve covers and what is in this picture along with a bunch of trash and misc. truck parts.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

That looks like the crest found in the middle of the back seat on a 60's chevy impala.

Do your valve covers have a checkerd flag emblem on them? If so they may be corvette aluminum valve covers. Worth a little money.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

None of them do. I think one set is original GM, but really have not taken the time to check them out yet. All three sets are old, no PCV/oil fill holes.

I'll check them out better this afternoon. And yes that is the center piece from an Impala. I'm keeping it! and the coors can/koozy

Nothing in mine, but a tire jack too short for a truck with no spare... Oh and an awful lot of leaves from the "fresh air" vents

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

Mine had various .22 rounds, a couple .223's, and a few .38's. Under the seat I found a big eagle feather I think that was about it besides all the trash.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

I just remembered, too, that the pickup bed was full of boulders which we saved and used to construct a fire pit.

As well as one unmatched tire/wheel assembly which is also still around here somewhere.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

A bunch of 30-06 casings. The best I can tell from that is this truck was used at one time to hunt and kill zombies. Its cool to have a truck with this kind of history.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

let's see if I can remember:

a chromed thermostat housing, a headlight, a box of those folding reflectors that you put out if you're pulled over on a two lane, some old anti-fog wipes, the original manual and paperwork from the original purchase, 72 and 71 truck service manuals, and the 72 overhaul manual.

I think that was about it. Maybe some change in the ashtray.

You all found interesting stuff. I found dirt and sand filling the entire corners flush.

Yep...
.22 shells, some coins, a mouse nest in the glove box, and an old pull tab. Pretty much what a guy would find in my DD minus the pull tab since I very seldom drink.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

Stuck to the radiator core support I got from Jeremiah King last month was this...a "hide your spare key" box but the box was empty.

I got my truck from my dad so no surprises. He is hardcore about record keeping so I have a record of like ALL repairs and oil changes ever done to the truck!

Cool!
x2 on the vent leaves, lol. Everytime I hit a cross wind, I get a face full of tiny leaf bits. And that's after I cleaned the vents out.

My truck just had an old set of marine speaker in little tiny boxes back in the cab corners, and lots of trash. It did come with three seat covers, all on the seat of coarse and completely trashed so you were sitting directly on the foam and exposed springs anyway.

Re: what items did you find in your truck?

When I changed out my window in my truck door I found this insurance magnet at the bottom.. I knew my truck came from Southern California .

Are there any of you that know of this Jay Tucker Farmers Insurance ?

Any one from Brawley California ? this is where my truck first lived

I didn't find anything too exciting but the original manuals and an old photo of the truck when it was newer
