Cigarette Lighters

What options are out there for different cigarette lighters than stock ones?

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Cigarette Lighters

Just about any lighter will work. Go to the salvage yard, find one you like and stick it in the dash.

Re: Cigarette Lighters

My dad's truck (now mine) didn't come with one. I guess it was an option then. Anyway, he turned that space into a manual choke.

I bought an original lighter off of here but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I'd like to keep things the way dad put them but I also want a lighter. I don't even smoke!

Re: Cigarette Lighters

if you look hard enough in jy's you can find lighters that have a narrow amber ring around them(like a lens) . and on the socket assembly theres a light bulb fixture.
it only illuminates a small ring around the lighter when the headlight switch knob is pulled on.

a cool feature on some chevys.
i have a setup like this i cobbled together for my 67 but i have no pics of it yet.

Re: Cigarette Lighters

I am going to make mine into a plug for my Iphone to play music through my radio. I have a radio that looks nearly like stock but the innerds are modern and it has a lead coming out of the back that you can plug in your Ipod or Iphone for music.
