V-8 to 6 cylinder?? Whats involved? Ideas?

Thinking very strongly about going to a 250 6 in my 72 Cheyenne Super. I bought another "donor" 72 with a good, non-leaky, runs-on-all-8 cylinder 307 motor but I am hesitating. I still think I want the old' straight six if I can find a good one.

I admit upfront I am challenged...I have neither the money, time ,tools or ability to rebuild anything and I am looking for a nice clean easy swap! I had the stock 350 4 barrel that is in there out 2 years ago attempting to re-gasket so it did not leak and totally botched the job! I am partial to the 250 because I have owned 2, at different times, 69 c-10's both with 250/ 3speed. And I remember them being very easy to work with.

What do you think? Should I do the swap? Will I need different motor mounts? The turbo 350 Auto should bolt up right? ANy suggestions guy's would be great. Thanks.

Seriously, would I need to change the torque converter?

Going by what the guy said at the tranmission place"yes" because I was gonna put my trans that came out behind my 6cly and use on a V8 and he said there was a difference, that all I know,I'm not a tran expert! I'll pass on the engine swap I dont think it would be worth my time and trouble, but let me know if you want these 2 items 40.00 plus shipping!

A turbo 350 trans that was behind a 6 cly has a smaller clutch pack in the transmission than a v8 transmission, but I was unaware of any difference in the torque convertor. Is there a difference in the convertors also
