Sold it,sad day

Well its a sad day but my truck sold on ebay for full price of $4450.00! its going to a good home in Nebraska on a large property with dirt roads, its been a faithful truck for 20 years and has never let me down or left me stranded! I sold it because I just don't drive it anymore and close to retiring, and I hate seeing it sit outside and rusting away,I was washing it every 3 weeks ,without even driving it! that's crazy! sad to say but still need something with utility,so I will get a used late model Minivan, hopefully an 05 and up Dodge Caravan with fold and go seats,I would like to thank the forum for all the help in the past, and will be checking in time to time,i have been trying to sell the truck for 5 years on and off here in SoCal,but no one really wants these here,I knew it would sell on ebay nationwide and it would go to the middle of the country, which it has!
Peace out

Saw your listing on ebay. Glad you got what you wanted and that it's going to a good home. Best of luck in retirement!

Re: Sold it,sad day

I will, but just stopped using it,the MPG is a killer factor here.I have to many occasional use cars, and I still need utility, but the truck is geared so low,not practical on the freeway anymore, that's why the minivan ,better MPG and can still haul stuff, that's why I bought the truck 20 years ago,now they are getting to be classic's. so time to go,sad.

Well as you mentioned there are plenty more where that one came from if you ever get the itch.

Re: Sold it,sad day

My son an I are the lucky new owners of John's C20. John was a great guy during the sale process and I believe will be a great resource in the future. His wife wrote is a nice note that was delivered with the truck. We feel fortunate to have found such a cool truck from someone who had great records and had obviously loved "Old Yeller" for more than 20 years.

Hate to hear you sold your truck but it's pretty neat that the owner has joined the forum!

Its always a sad day when you have to let go of your truck but at least you got what you wanted for it, helps take the sting out of it.

Re: Sold it,sad day

The title changes names, but the truck on the site stays the same--that's funny. There is nothing the combined expereince of the people of this site don't know about Chev trucks. Welcome, Hucker 20!
