hush mat sound deadener

hey guys just wondering if any of you have used the hush mat sound deadener in your trucks. what is your opinions on this stuff? im talking about the good quality USA made hush mat not the over seas dynamat stuff. is it worth the money? how has it held up over time? what are soem creative places you put it? is one layer enough? any opinions at all would help! im looking for first and foremost a reduction in road noise and drone, and then heat protection (need all the help i can get, non-a/c truck )

I used Hushmat. I haven't finished my build, so I can say what it sounds like. Pics in my build thread.
Great choice - made in USA and used by auto manufacturers.

hows the stuff stick and flex? how did it work out around the inner firewall being it is so irregular?

I thought it was awesome. No issues with adhesion or wrapping around curves. Conformed and stuck real good.

if you get a chance could you snap some pics of the inside of the cab so i can get an idea of where you used the product, especially a picture of the inner firewall and under dash.

I'd love to see db meter readings with hushmat. I know from experience this is one area where you don't always get what you pay for.

if you have an iPhone there is a free db meter ap you can download. Your right a before and after would be very cool.

No. The pictures in my thread (click the link below) are all I have and I don't own an apple anything. I didn't go all the way up the backside of the firewall, but if there's metal, it'll stick, no problem (doesn't need a clean surface). It's what they use in new cars (Industrial).
