71 C10 wiring question
I have a 71 C10 w 250. I just freshened up the top end, and im adding an hei. I found 4 wires clipped off, they all go to this relay above and right of the terminal block. I don't see them on the wiring diagram. What is this?

Re: 71 C10 wiring question
Anyone know what this relay is? Obviously its not something that affects my truck running. I pulled it all out. I just want to know what it is.

Re: 71 C10 wiring question
This is the TCS relay, see if the wires match the picture. The upper relay is the horn relay. The TCS is a poor attempt at emissions on the 71 and 72 years. It stands for transmission controlled spark.

Re: 71 C10 wiring question
the pic that shows the driver side of the firewall, the relay is there....I know you cant see it, but if you have a 67-72, im assuming that most/all have this thing there....
the other pic is of the motor close to run. if I have a few spare moments tonight, I can finish welding the radiator brackets and fire it up. |
