4x2 to 4x4 ?

Ok, I got a stock 2x4 3/4 ton long bed sitting here waiting for resto to begin. I don't really want to keep it stock and lowering it seems like too much work. I really like the look of a high ride 4x4. It doesn't actually need to be a 4x4, I just like the look of a 6" lift and big tires. I won't be driving this in the winter, so no real need for 4x4. Has anyone ever made a 4x2 to look like a 4x4 or is this just a stupid idea and I should go back to a drop like most...I really like the idea driving by people and looking down at them....

does it have coils or leaf spring suspinsion? if it has leafs your in luck, get a 73-87 front lift kit from fabtech.com and meausre the length of the rear springs, (eyebolt to eyebolt and eyebolt to centering pin, and width of the spring at eyebolts and above axle)) go to a 4x4 lift company and give them the specs and hope they have a lift spring that matches

There's a 71/72 LWB K10 here in woodstock, that has trees growning around it. I really would like to drag it out and restore it, but, maybe you could talk the guy into selling it and do a body swap.
