Car Craft Summer Nationals in MINNEAPOLIS

Anybody else going to be there? I will be cruising up in my 72 on Friday and will have my truck in the show on Saturday and Sunday. Never been to that show before so I can't wait.

I haven't even heard about here, Dan. I usually avoid it,because of the crowds, It's HUGE!!! Sorry I didn't find you before I left the All GM show. Did you win anything? Was very nice meeting you, and seeing your sweet truck up close!!! That is a very nice ride he has!!

I posted about this in General Disc. I am definitely going to the show. Most likely on Saturday only. Last year there were over 40 67-72's. It keeps getting bigger and bigger! Hope to meet some more members there this weekend. I'll wear my gray 67-72 board t-shirt. (wife calls it an uniform )

Class of 69- it is worth it going to the show! There is plenty of parking in the same lot as this year's All GM show and not too bad getting in before noon. It doesn't come close to the size of Back to the 50's show where shuttle service is needed.

I usually go..great show...not this year I am afraid. My brother may be there in a white/red 62 SS Impala on Crager SST's keep your eye out for him. Oh, and don't forget to hit Porky's for dinner and the cruise! Just make sure all of your lights on your vehicle are working and don't be tempted to do any burnouts. They cops up there are friggin Nazis.

Have fun,

Wild

I will second the hitting Porky's on University Ave. on friday and saturday night. It is always a huge cruise. But as stated before watch out for the police, they will be everywhere!!!

I stopped at Porky's when I went to the All GM Show last month and that place was sweet. I will be in the show on Saturday and Sunday but will be walking around Friday afternoon. If you guys want to meet somewhere just PM me or something and we can work something out. And I didn't win anything at the All GM Show. But who cares I enjoyed it. I just can't wait. Wierd seeing my odometer racking up miles. I have put on 3,000 in the past month and a half, and I hardly ever drive it except for weekends.

Ah..... that may be partly my fault! I used to go to it every year when I had my SS 454 '70 Chevelle. That show was huge!!! In '78 when it ended on Sunday night everyone went down to University Ave. in front of the old Wards store. There were so many cars that they blocked off a 2 block section of the road in both directions, and we were doing burn outs, and racing!! The crowd wouldn't let the cops get thru!! When I came up to the burn out line, some guy started throwing bleach under my tires, and I told him to stop cause I didn't need bleach! Grabbed second gear after twenty feet, and put the tach on 7 grand... eighty feet of burning, smoking rubber!!

Kevin....did you ever do the St. Paul loop, before they chopped it all up??? Used to spend all weekend down there! Got more tickets, and slaps than I could count! Then I turned 21, and started cruising the bars instead......shoulda stuck to the loop.

Anyone want to set a meeting place at a specific time? Maybe meet wherever 72chevyLWB parks his truck?

I am going to try and make it, probably Saturday.
I think my leash will stretch to the Fairgronds, Ma is 8.5 months pregnant and she doesn't like me to get to far away.

I am coming down from Manitoba to see that show unfortunately I am not bringing the truck. The truck would be to much on gas and it is probably going to be about an eight hour drive for me. I will get there on friday afternoon and I am leaving on monday morning. maybe I will see some of you guys there.
