Wink Had to share...Latest project

It was a good weekend. Road trip to Eugene Oregon and came home with a 71 3/4 Cheyenne. Front clip has some nasty rust, so we will see in the near future how good my skills are in sanding. Otherwise, I replace with one of my extras. Im thinking of one of two options. 1. Body swap with my 72 Custom 20 4x4 and have my dream 4x4 back again or... 2. Restore this blue project and sell the 4x4. $350 or so in paint and several hours with my D. A. and if Im lucky Ill see metal. Then it will be a no brain deal. The wife still has yet to see this truck in the driveway. Im ready for the hell Im about to get when she returns from Colorado. If I bust my butt, I should be able to get this sanded and some new color on it within the next 4 or 5 weeks. A body off won't ne in the cards. This will just be a clean driver..
Any thoughts??
Oh yeah, I bought this from "Cheyenne10" on the website. He has a beautiful orange 1/2 ton Cheyenne in his driveway! I wanted it but it wasn't for sale....

I wasn't going to post any pictures until I sanded it, but I couldn't resist!

The project will be sand, weld up some holes from the j hooks that heald a camper and weld the holes in the doors where the mirrors are now and where the "western" mirrors were at one time. Then I will replace the mirrors with a low mount mirror so I can see what is behind me. These tiny mirrors will be for sale soon or better yet, if someone has a set of factory low mounts, Im willing to trade. No repro mirrors as the brackets are rather cheesie. I want to keep this as stock as possible. I just don't see how anyone can see out of the small ones!
