remanufacturer numbers

Hello,
I am new to this site.

about 6 wks ago I purchased my first 72 chevy C10. I am trying to find out more info on the engine that is in it. I beleive it is a 94 350 (atleast this is what the previous owner told me). I have looked below the passenger side head and the number has been machined off. I looked below the head just above the bell housing on the driver side and found SGI 5.7 GM (not a lot of info there either). However I did find a remanufactured tag on the driverside bottom of the block just above the oil pan flange. The number reads 746582. The question is can this numbrer tell me anything?

I appreciate the help, and thanks in advance.

I will post pics as soon as I figure out how.
