Good deal on NOS 77 tailgate band

Not mine, but this is a good deal, especially for sons one with a nice 77 to fix up.

If its really nos you should buy it and list it on eBay. Then use the extra $900 to give your truck a nice Christmas present. They are worth a good bit these days.

Wish I could, but I'm in the Marine Corps and I'm nowhere near home at the moment. Just thought I'd help someone out if I could!

Re: Good deal on NOS 77 tailgate band

Thanks for posting this, I bought it. When it arrived yesterday via USPS it looked like the postal carrier pulled into the yard and tossed it out. It looked like a banana when I opened it. Luckily it wasn't kinked and I was able to straighten it with some gentle pressure. It looks great now!

Re: Good deal on NOS 77 tailgate band

I'd love to see how much ups or fedex or someone has to pay to fix or replace a NOS part. I recently had a beef with fedex so i won't go with them no more.

Re: Good deal on NOS 77 tailgate band

i work with FedEx and i will say our ground drivers are bad, express aint to bad, we have a declared value on the air bills, if the person said it was only a 100 fedex will only pay 100 even if its worth 700, but if you declare the value at 700 but the item is only worth 100 they only will pay you the 100, that the company for you
glad to hear you were able to fix the band tho!
Lets see some picture

Here are some pictures. There was one ding that I was able to smooth out, but a little scratch remains. Other than that, a little shelf wear is all that keeps it from being perfect!

Glad it worked out for you! I sold my 83 but I love these trucks and continue to search craigslist for parts to help you guys out. I'll have another one some day when I get out of the marine corps, hopefully.
