Cab painting?

What is the best way to go about getting a cab painted take the thing to a shop off the frame or wait till I get it assymbled then take it to a shop?

Also where is the best place to pick up a new cab at?

New to this please help me and "burn" me as litlle as possible I get very burnt quickly

I have a non-AC cab off a '78 if you're interested. It's practically rust free. Just some surface dusting. Will sell for $100 plus shipping.
