How Much Marine Clean

Team:

For those who have used Marine Clean, how much should I buy? I do not want to make two trips, if necessary. Also, did you use it 1:1 or what ratio did you use?

Also, how long would you let it sit, prior to washing/rinsing it off?

I have quite a bit of build up on the engine side of the chassis and the rear diff.

Mahalo!

Re: How Much Marine Clean

Marine Clean is the best degreaser you will ever use. Use it full strength and 40 years of built up crap falls off like butter. I don't know the quantity to use, I always have some on hand though.

Re: How Much Marine Clean

i thought it was to expensive to use as a general cleaner/degreaser. I just used it after blasting and before metal prep. I spray to soaking and let it sit 10 minutes before rinsing it and then putting on metal prep.

X2. Marine Clean is amazing! Make sure you use rubber gloves though!

Re: How Much Marine Clean

I bought a gallon. I use it full strength in some places, and keep a spray bottle mixed with water for general use. It is a very good degreaser.

Re: How Much Marine Clean

I've never used it, but the directions online say mix 1:1 for heavy, 1:5 for moderate, and 1:10 for light cleaning.

I love this stuff. I usually mix about 5-1.
