How come I never find these deals

got to work today and there was a C10 SWB in the lot I hadnt seen before. Took a pic, and continued with my day.

As Im coming back from lunch I see someone in the truck so I park next to him and start asking about his truck.

Come to find out its a factory air with a 454 and a 5 sp tranny. All the rust has been repaired and just need to be finished up paint wise.
Interior is done... including buddy bucket seats.

He traded his jeep for it. He paid 3500 for his jeep....

I never find deals like that

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Deals are seldom "just found" as it normally takes active searches or habits that puts one in the right places at the right times more often.

Re: How come I never find these deals

That kind of thing never happens to me either. Actually I lied. When I was 18 I had a 94 V6 Camaro. It had roll up windows, no rear defrost, manual locks, nothing. Well I had the chance to trade it straight across for a 78 Trans Am with a 455, T-tops, power everything, good condition, but my grandma wouldn't let me do it. She said it was too much power for me.

I traded my 94 Ford f250 for mine. I was really surprised in the condition of the floor!

Re: How come I never find these deals

I traded a 2500 dollar crotch rocket for my 69. The kid I traded bought it as a project that the p/o before him spent thousands on in rust repair and a nice motor to boot. Came with lots of extra stuff new in the box. The kid just really wanted a crotch rocket! Other than that, I never come across good deals!
