Look at what parked next to me

I went to a toy/food drive yesterday and this pulled up next to me.....WOW!

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Wow is right! Diggin this Cameo. I like the wheel tire combo. Not stock but subtle enough to keep a stock feel.

Yes I did. He's a local guy. Told me he's owned it for 10 years. It's a 1957 and he said around 2,200 were made that year. He had a late model camaro 5 speed transmission installed. He was a little apologetic about the engine bay (350 with 4 barrell) but it looked okay to me.

They are the original rear lights that came on the Cameo. I don't know if they were used elsewhere. It

I've heard for years that chevrolet sourced the taillights for the cameo from the 54 car. They look close, but never seen any history on it anywhere.
