Another 73-87 disc swap question, or 2 or 3...

I'm getting ready to do the brake swap and looking for donor vehicles. I'm finding plenty of 3/4 ton 73-87 trucks, but not many 1/2 tons that are 2wd. Ideally I'm looking at buying a complete truck, then taking the front crossmember, all the front brake stuff (master cyl, booster, lines, etc) and also all the power steering stuff, so I can do front disc brakes and power steering.

Will the 3/4 ton brake parts work on my 67 GMC 2wd 1/2 ton? Are they the same as the 1/2ton parts, but with a different rotor? I'll have to get 6 lug rotors, since I think the 3/4 ton is 8 lug.

How about power steering, is that the same on the 3/4 as the 1/2?

Would 73-87 4x4 6 lug rotors work on the 73-97 1/2ton or 3/4 ton spindle?

Lastly, I read somewhere that there is a suspension change in the 73-87 models. Is the newer suspension better? Should I focus on finding a newer donor vehicle?

Thanks for the help!
