Power windows and Power locks retrofit

Has anyone updated their older manual trucks with power windows and locks. I want to kow if there is a kit out there and if they work well or do I need to hit the salvage yard and get a set from a newer model?

I would stick with the factory set up. It is direct plug in and better quality than most aftermarket set ups.

I did this using the factory parts from another truck. The only surprise I ran into was my cab did not have the holes for the wiring. However, there were dimples already there where you need to drill the holes. Also, I tried to use a wiring harness from a Suburban and the windows didn't work correctly. Use a truck harness.

I would recommend that you just find a donor truck, but if you really want to buy a kit, look at these. I'm not promoting them, never used their switch set up, but i knewthey offered these. you can always call them and ask.

I,m doing the same ,but how did you get the gasket riveted on to the door, looks kinda tricky, not much room

A large part of these trucks use bolts with 10mm heads to mount the gasket to the jamb and door. As I sell a lot of these harnesses I actually see more that are bolted than riveted in
