Setting rear axle

I'm going to be putting drop blocks on my rear axle and adding an adjustable trac bar.
What's the best way to measure the L/R placement of the axle when I set the trac bar? From frame to back of brakes possibly?

Also what's the best way to actually adjust the bar? Set the axle and get a measurement for the bar length I presume, then fine tune from there.....?

I measured tire to fender lip, then rigged a rachet strap from the rear of the truck to a solid object on the short side. I simply tightened the strap until the body was centered, then installed the track bar pre-adjusted to fit.

You need to find the front center of the frame and rear center of the frame. I did these by using a plumb bob. I hung the plumb bob on the right front frame rail made a mark on the shop floor than the left front and than rear right and left. Know you have your four frame points marked on the shop floor. Find your center point of the front and rear I use a chalk box to snap a line between the front and rear centers. Use the plumb bob hanging from the center of the pinion shaft of the diff. Adjust the tracking arm so the plumb bob centers on your chalked line.
