For the guys that have rebuilt vent windows

What did you use for rivets? I have been trying to use the factory type that requires a driver, but I would like to switch to the pin type and use my gun. Any thoughts?

Re: For the guys that have rebuilt vent windows

I used pop rivets on the one that I rebuilt, but then ordered the correct rivets for Classic. I will redo it when I get the correct gaskets for my year and redo both. They work, I just want mine to be correct :-)

Re: For the guys that have rebuilt vent windows

I've been trying to use the rivets from classic with their driver for them. The problem that I am having is getting the back side of the rivet to sit on a hard surface and then hit the driver hard enough to compress the rivet. I also tried using a C clamp with some success but I'm not getting the results that I need. I think that I'll try the pop rivet route.
