Gary

I was just about to pay when i had this problem with the pick up, my pick up
agent says i will need to pay for the pick up before they can schedule a
pick up time, they charged me $200 for pick up and delivery, and
payments or pick up made through them is made to their corporate
international headquarters which is in the states and the
payments is made through western union money transfer, i will add the
$250 to the money i will send through paypal as soon as i have made
the payments, i will email you and let you know and please i will need
you to help me send the money to my pick up
agent HQ in the states through western union money transfer, this can
be done from any post office ,there is always western union money
transfer section in most post offices...,i would have done it myself
but we cant bring
some of our personal effects
along, i am a little incapacitated.....I will appreciate your help here.

Re: "is this a scam?"

Long answer, what they are wanting to do is send you a fake money order, have you cash it and then buy a real post office money order and send it back to them. And for your trouble you keep 50 or 100 bucks.

Re: "is this a scam?"

The only thing that gets me is if he pays me through paypal for the parts + the shipping beforehand, how would I get scamed ? I could see if it was a fake check ! Or I sent money before getting a paypal confirmation !

Run away scam alert!! At least you thought about it first some need to sell or want to so bad that they will try anything and it will end up hurting them at the end of the deal. Jim

I say back away. If he wants the parts he will have a way to get them without U paying anything. I would just hold off and let someone else buy them.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: "is this a scam?"

I knew once I got this email it was fishy !!! I had asked him 3 times what yr truck he had so I would know if they would fit his truck. He never answered the question, even after I asked 3 times.

Guarenteed scam.

Anytime Western Union is requested, it is a scam, as there is no recourse to get a refund after you have been ripped off.

You have parts for sale, and he expects you to send him money??

Flags don't get any more red than that.

Re: "is this a scam?"

This happened to a friend. A month after the transaction had been done he got a notice from his bank that he was on the hook for the fake money transfer. Long story short not worth it.

Re: "is this a scam?"

Unrelated but a guy over in VA wanted to buy a muzzleloader rifle I had in the local trading paper. He wanted me to ship it to him, but him pay half, me ship, then he pay me the other half.

I calmly explained to him, "that isn't how it works." He then wanted to meet me someplace in VA, which would have been OK, if he paid my gas money, but he was just too weird on the phone. He wanted to do it in a parking lot, instead of a gun store.....so I backed away.

Re: "is this a scam?"

Guess you don't need to be told this is a scam again. I just wanted to horn in with this...

Just read the fuc*^$g text.

If you didn't think it was a scam after the third illiterate phrase with
"pick up" in it, well.......Seven times in one run-on sentence?
Credit to you for being a somewhat trusting soul.

Emphasis on the "somewhat".

An extra little lesson:

Not that this crud would ever send you anything on Paypal, but Paypal is fallible.
Particularly for the person on the receiving end of the money.

Congrats for every time you dump one of these creeps.

Re: "is this a scam?"

A real Marine would never... use such a L O N G sentence, or not capitalize the word "I". That's one huge sentence.

"I was just about to pay when i had this problem with the pick up, my pick up agent says i will need to pay for the pick up before they can schedule a pick up time, they charged me $200 for pick up and delivery, and payments or pick up made through them is made to their corporate international headquarters which is in the states and the payments is made through western union money transfer, i will add the $250 to the money i will send through paypal as soon as i have made the payments, i will email you and let you know and please i will need you to help me send the money to my pick up agent HQ in the states through western union money transfer, this can be done from any post office ,there is always western union money transfer section in most post offices...,i would have done it myself but we cant bring some of our personal effects along, i am a little incapacitated.....I will appreciate your help here."
