carb adj.

I was wondering on my edelbrock 1406 when you adjust the fast idle screw is the speed supposed to go down when you start up the vehicle also do you turn the screw out to lower it or in. if its in i have screwed mine out and nothing has changed could it be my choke too.

what are you calling the fast idle screw. to get to the fast idle, you have to hold the accerator open and its a small screw on the bottom of the linkage, that is for the choke idle. the idle screw is on the accelerator linkage when you just look at it and has a hex head as well as a flat head slot. the 2 screws on the front of the carb are the idle mixture screws.
