1959 fleetside build
Guess I ll start a build page. I bought a 59 apache fleetside not to long ago. Purchased a frame with a Camaro clip already installed. I am going to go with ridetech shockwaves up front and probably a porterbuilt in the back. I want to see how the front sits with bags before I buy the back. I am looking into purchasing a 5.3 out of a newer truck. Should be a fun build. Lots of work to do.

Re: 1959 fleetside build
It looks good. Are you going to make brackets and mount the bags between the tubing and top of axle?

No, they are going on the outside, on top of trailing arms.

Re: 1959 fleetside build
Oh cool. Didn't know you were going with trailing arms. That will be neat. Did you get your front end all tightened and torqued? It's looking really good. Are you happy with the shock waves so far? I wish I could have done that or bags but just trying to get mine drivable again. I will go back and add them later.

Re: 1959 fleetside build
Nice truck you got there. Great start on it. We did a camaro subframe in the apache also. Mind you we are still working on it. Seems like it will never get finished. Oh well. What is one more year

Re: 1959 fleetside build
Was that notch in a kit or built from scratch? I really like it and would like to do the same.
